spinoff to fav bath products
The nurse teaching our childbirth class told us not to use any of these products on the baby. Just tone or dove and baby shampoo for the baby's hair. She said no lotions. Sort of scared me so I didn't buy any. She said they're so prone to allergies that if one develops you shouldn't have to figure out which one of twenty different products they're reacting to. What do your pediatrician's say? I guess they've said they're fine?

I don't think I could do without Aquaphor and Cetaphil for Emily because she has Eczema and so we need to put the lotion on her at least once daily to prevent her from getting dry patches.
I did find J&J products to be too harsh for her --- and we use Huggies on her hair --- but use Aveeno on her body -- the specific body wash for Eczema.
I dont think that adult products would be good for her IMO.

Never heard of such a thing, because most baby products are all very mild. Unless your baby is in the small % of kids that have multiple allergies, would you have to worry about that. I have tried multiple products and no problems. Maybe speak with your PED, instead of the "teacher" of child class.

I took a childbirth class to and the teacher saio the same thing about the soaps. I was a little nervous to in the begining, but I used Johnson's baby stuff, and she never had a reaction to it, so I just stick with that brand. Dont worry, they just dont want you to use a variety of brands on your baby incase of an allergic reaction, you wont know what caused it.

I remember my childbirth instructor telling us not to use baby powder and that came as a surprise to me. I don't recall warnings about the other stuff. I use the J&J stuff and have never had problem. Katherine has a slight problem with excema and we weren't told to stop using the lotions.
