Anyone on here losing weight before TTC?
I am just curious to see how many of us are on here trying to lose as much weight as possible before TTC? My doctor said it is soooooo important and healthier for you and the baby.

I am. It's hard to put off TTC, but I know it's definitely going to be so much better for myself and the baby.

I am in a way. I don't have a time frame for TTC, but I don't want to be this weight when I get pregnant so I'm working on it now for the future. It's not like I'm putting TTC on hold for weight loss though.

I know what you mean, my doctor told me to lose 20 lbs before TTC and I did, b/c he felt it was better health wise. but I never really stopped TTC while I was losing the weight.

I completely understand. I go back in forth between wanting to TTC right now and waiting another year ... I won't let something like a few pounds stop me, but I figured in the meantime might as well do all I can to get healthy.

 I agree and good luck too!!! I know its not easy, it wasnt for me to lose the weight, I had to exercise too which was at first soooo hard to get into it. now i actually enjoy it.

I'm trying to lose weight before my next IVF cycle. The last 7 IVF's have wreaked havoc on my body!!

This was part of my original goal. I still won't be TTC for a while, but now that the weight is off I feel much better!

I'm not TTC-ing anytime soon - but besides losing weight for me and general health reasons, it is certainly in the back of my mind to want to lose as much weight as possible before TTC - so it's easier to get PG, and so when I am hopefully PG - I'm not putting a ton of weight on what I weigh now!

I'm not really trying to lose weight, but I am trying to get into great shape. I want to be as fit as possible before TTC. I am hoping that if I do that and workout while PG it will be easier to take off the weight afterwards.

I am and it's not ging well at all. I need to lose about 30 lbs.
I work too many hours and cant seem to stick with anything I start.
These last 3+ years with extra lbs have been miserable

I know diet and exercise are very important whether or not a woman is TTC. I've seen severly overweight women who are PG, and have some girlfriends who are in great shape and are having trouble getting PG.
I agree losing weight helps, but it doens't "make it easier" when TTC.

I have been on the lose weight before TTC kick for about 3 weeks now and its going great. I want to be as healthy and in shape as possible by June So we can TTC. THis way I will be in the right mind set to eat right and excercise through out my pregnancy and after.
THis last year has been a whirlwind of emotions for my DH and I. Between the wedding and MIL battling lung cancer , and her passing away 6 weeks after the wedding has taken its toll on us. Then DH having that near fatal accident with a drunk driver ( while DH was parked) and all the doctor visits for his back with x-rays and MRI's and psychical therapy 3 xs a week...ugh sorry got carried away with our recent months... Anyway... I am in crackhead mode with going to the gym and eating healthy...so by June we are good to TTC.
