work hour....laws?
What is the normal work day.....how many hours a day do you work before, by law you are entitled to a break.
Is it 8 hrs + 1hr for lunch = 9hr day?
or
7hr + 1hr for lunch = 8hr day?

i think after 3 hours you are entitled to a 15 minute break...
We get a 45 minute break for lunch..

ok bu what is your total work day hours?
would my staff shift work 6-2, and they take a 1 hour lunch. or would it be 6-3, with the lunch?
Does this make sense???

I think it depends. You will see either or, but places JT has worked, when he has an 8 hour shift, he gets one break and a half hour for lunch. His current job, he works 12 hour shifts, and included in that time is an hour for lunch and two 15 minute breaks.

OMG you should really look into this
I had a problem where they didn't even give me a break and working a 9 hour day!!
So now I'm collecting unemployment but I quit my job because of this reason! SO don't let them get away with it. If you have any ??? just FM ok?

I work from 6:30 to 3 with a 45 min. lunch

I work 8:30-4:30 with a one hour lunch.
7 Hour work day.

I am just trying to work out the staff schedules. It is a VERY laid back place of employment and lots of down time to eat. HOWEVER, you cannot leave the building for food if you are the only staff onshift. So you must either bring it in, or use the cafeteria, because your time is spent supervising.
