Recommendations for a show/play in NYC

Love Sweeney Todd - it's a dark comedy. I took my parents - they both loved it. Even my mom. Normally, she can't stand anything where people get killed.

what's it about?
About a barber (Sweeney Todd) who is out to get revenge on the person who sent him to prison on trumped up charges, got rid of his wife & is raising his daughter.
It will be hard to get tickets after it wins the Tony

The Drowsy Chaperone --- just saw it and it was hysterical!! Excellent choice for someone your dad's age (over 50 I assume)...
ALso up for a ton of Tonys.

A comedy if possible, we are going for a few drinks befire hand and my Dad and I like to have fun, so possible a comedy even something off boradway would be great,we love those little theaters down in the village. Thanks mary, i knew I should of fm'd you!!
