Wedding related - sorry!
A friend of mine is getting married in 2 weeks and decided to do a large donation to the cancer society in lieu of favors. She is looking for a way to let her guests know that they decided to do this.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

I put a framed 'announcement' of sorts with the placecards indicating that in lieu of favors, a donation has been made to ***.

I did this for my wedding as well.... I had scrolls created with a saying on it that let our guests know that a donation was made in their honor to ________.

I would call them and ask ( cancer society ) they may have pre made ones ... if not I think you could find a sweet quote or a couple of lines saying that is what they are doing (use decorative paper)

I did this
I had little cards printed up that said
"In leui of tradtional favors a donation has been made in your name in honor of Joanne Lowe" ( my mom)
I attached them to a cookie shaped like a wedding cake made by my MIL
but just the card or something on the table would be fine
I love we people do this- I think it's so nice

What about a type of scroll with a ribbon in her wedding colors wrapped around it with all the information printed on the inside-------- placed either on the dinner tables or a table outside the reception room when people are leaving.
or
have the information printed up and framed and placed on the dinner tables
or
have the information printed up on paper and wrapped in boxes.

my cousin donated to a friend who passed memorial fund at her wedding a few weeks ago. she had small cards made up and scattered on the tables.

Im doing a donation as well.
Im putting a Lance Armstrong cancer bracelet(I stole this idea from kindhearted hmpena), 2 truffles, and a card in a box with our initials stating that many family memebers have been affected by cancer thats why were doing a donation.

I got really cheap frames... I think $1 each from the dollar store or someplacem used paper that coordinated with my invites and wrote...
In lieu of favors a donation has been made to the American Diabetes Asssociation
in honor of our families members...
something like that. Three out of 4 of Dh's grandparents were diabetic and it runs in BIL's family as well.

i donated also and the cancer society gave me scrolls with our names on it. we gave them out with little candies.
