Where to get birthday cake?
DS will turn 1 on the 23rd. My friend had mentioned that she gets her child a cake at Walmart (says its great) and it comes with a "smash" cake, for the child to eat/play with. I don't think there are any Walmart's around here with a bakery.... so I'm curious. Where did you/will you get your child's first birthday cake? Thanks.

any of the supermarkets do cakes...Waldbaums, Stop N Shop, There is Create A Cake in Port Jefferson Station, Audrey's in West Sayville
ETA: BJ's has a bakery also

I just ordered a BJ's cake for the christening and it was great. Yellow cake with chocolate mouse filling and whipped cream frosting..YUMMY

I got Jillians cake from Waldbaums ...and they give you a free little cake for the first birthday. I got the small cake with no filling for Jillian to smash...They also copied a picture of her party design right onto the cake it was really nice... and I was able to chose any type of filling i wanted to
