Travel Agent
What are the pros and cons of booking a vacation w/a travel agent vs. booking it online?

Re: Travel Agent
I am actually in training now to be an agent. I work in a call center and this is from my experience of booking with my agency as compared to booking online.
the people that book with us get personalized customer service, they can speak with a live agent if they have any questions or want to change anything.
Our processing fee is a lot lower then others processing fee's.
I think what it comes down to is when you book on line you receive your ticket and confirmation number but when you arrive to your destination if you have any problems who do you call. with an agency if you are at your hotel and you are having problems you can call the agent and they'll do our best to assist you and answer your concerns.

Re: Travel Agent
It depends on what agency you go to. Large agencies don't usually have a booking fee to book vacations.
Some poeple don't like only booking over the phone or computer. They like to sit in front of an human, not a computer.
