Car insurance..Who do you use and...
how much do you pay?
We have Geico and pay $4092/year for a 2004 Trailblazer EXT and a 2004 Monte Carlo. Doesn't that seem really high?

Allstate. FH pays about $2400 year for his 05 VW and for renter's insurance
Here my mom and I pay about $3600 for a 93 Buick and an 00 VW. All comprehensive
ETA: Fh's is so high b/c he's under 25, Mine/my mom's is so high b/c we live in queens and I think it went up after my 2 accidents, plus I'm under 25

Wow that's alot!
We use Allstate... We pay about $1200/yr (with multi-policy discount) for 1999 Honda CR-V. We live in Chicago.
ETA: we have full coverage also

I have 2000 Grand Prix and I pay $1200 a year for full coverage. I use Geico.

Do you lease or own?
DH leases a 2004 Dodge Ram & I own a 2005 Scion XB - our insurance before we added the homeowner's policy was $3250/year for 500/250 coverage on both. We use Liberty Mutual.

I have Geico too. I pay 1900.00 a year for a 2004 Escalade and a 2004 CTS. I think that is rather high what you are paying. DO you have tickets or any accidents? I was paying like $5000.00 a year before I switched and that was only for 1 car. But I had a ticket at the time so I guess that is what had to do with it?

We pay ~$3300 a year for full coverage, incl comp and collision on a 1996 BMW and 2004 Civic, living in Queens. DH had Geico and when he called for a rate that included both of our cars, it was $1800 more a year than what we're paying now with Allstate.

We pay about 2500/year for a 2001 Ford Mustang GT and 2004 Ford Explorer with full coverage....we have Allstate and live in NJ.

In addition to your driving record and how long you've had your license, your gender and whether or not you're married, they also scheck your credit score. Also, some cars just have realy high insurance for no apparent reason. They just statistically have more accidents or get stolen more. It doenst hurt to call u your copany or a few companies to see if they can do something better for you and if there's any feature you have like ABS or running lights or an alarm make sure it's lsten on your policy. Also if you don't drive a lot it can help. I know with Fh's car, we're trying to keep it under 600 miles a month because then he qualifies for a whopping 30% discount.

Allstate and I pay about $1450 for the year on my own. Its a 2001 Honda Civic. Me and DH havent combined yet.

My mom pays 5000 for her, my father, my brother & me...I don't drive though......All togthere there is 2 cars, a blazer and trailblazer, 2002 and 2003...they use geico and they are getting RIPPED off...
especially since my father doenst drive, my mom hardly does..my brother drives a lot, but hes hardly 20-so thats why insurance is so high!

I have State Farm and pay about $1900 for a 2003 Pathfinder- lease I heard State Farm is one of the highest insurance co. but I havebeen there since I was 17...

Geico - $1200/yr for an 04 Acura MDX.
New York Central Mutual - DH's 05 Ford F350 is $2200/yr. (hes got tickets& 1 accident.
The Hartford - $2100 02 Ford cargo van & 95 Ford pick up
Hagerty - $99 1973 Dodge Dart

We use Nationwide..bioth cars in DH's name
a 99 Pontiac gran prix GT and a 2000 Altima
Full insurance( still have loans) is $2160 a year for both cars together.

That seems really high. Unless you have tickets and/or accidents.
We pay $2000/year for a 2003 Santa Fe and a 1997 Beretta...full coverage inc. glass on both.
Also, I drive 25 miles to work so we pay a surcharge for that.
Are you leasing, cuz if so, you have to have higher coverage on the cars. Maybe you should look into a defensive driving course, you can each save 10% by taking one.

Danielle and I pay $2600 for a 2002 civic and a 2001 prizm with Geico
I was paying $2500 with Travellers insurance for just my car.....Geico was so much cheaper
