I really wanted to have another Baby Shower... (VENT)
The one I had with Caiden wasn't the greatest since there wasn't much effort put into it.  I was really hoping to have one with this baby not because of gifts, but because I wanted people to celebrate with us about having another baby! Not one person has called to see how I'm doing... no one and I'm 28 weeks! I really feel like no one gives a crap about us!  It would just mean a lot to me in an emotional way, you know! It's hard not sharing the excitement with anyone. The baby will be here in 11 weeks and not a peep. Oh well, what can you do?

Why can't you have a "sprinkle"???? If it makes you feel any better, no one calls to see how I'm feeling...I only get asked when I see someone. I just think "out of sight, out of mind". No big deal. We all care how you are dong...

A good friend fo mine had an afternoon tea at her house and invited about 15-20 women just to hang before the new baby came.
It was breezy with no presents but everyone had a nice time.

I mentioned it to my sister since she didn't get to throw my 1st shower and she said that she could try to arrange something, but I don't have anyone to invite! The main people at my last shower was IL's family and friends and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't go. They would think it's stupid.  We don't really have any friends though. We lost most of them by moving out of state.  I don't really have anyone I'd invite. I invited a bunch of people last time that didn't even bother showing up. Made me feel like crap then, and I'd feel even worse if I invited them again and they did the same thing. I don't really have any family either that would come.
Most of the time I try not to let it bother me, but it's so hard. Why don't these "so called" family and friends ever care to talk to me or express their excitement about the baby? It's definitely true though... out of sight out of mind! And being that we live out of state we're always out of sight!!! I'm sorry you're dealing with this too! Here are some

s no one really calls me much either...inlcuding my own parents or sister...I know how you feel!! Luckily think of your dh and own cutie who will be so happy to have a new member to their family!
