homemade baby food

I am staring to make homemade baby food, and was wondering if you have any suggestions on what to do, how to do it, kinda' BTDT tips...

I have the book, Super Baby Foods, and have been using that as a reference...

TIA

Re: homemade baby food

I know there are some recipes in the end of my "what to expect the first year" book. Let me know if you want me to type any of them out, although maybe your book has recipes already?

Re: homemade baby food

I like the book "Mommy Made and Daddy too" The recipies are really easy to find in that book, and I use Super Baby Food as a guide for how to select ripe fruits and veggies (I don't usually eat some of these like butternut squash) as well as how long I can keep them in the freezer.

I use the cube freezing method in SBF. It's been really easy so far. Tonight I made 5 trays of food in about 2 hours: apples, bananas, peaches, pears and yellow squash. Tomorrow I'll make zucchini, butternut squash, carrots, sweet potatos and green beans.

ETA: I puree everything in my blender which has worked great for me. I don't have a food processor and didn't want to buy a food mill if I could just use the blender.
