Long shot... but does anyone here own a Nikon Cool Pix camera
I lost the manual and can't find any online help.
I need to know how to turn the flash off.
if anyone knows, please let me know!

wouldn't you just pop it down? (if it's a pop up?)
if not, there should be a lightning bolt button and icon to tell you if it's on or off

It seems like you hit the up arrow and that should take you into the menu...go down to the swiggle with the circle around it and that should turn it off...
I have an older model but I think they are all pretty similar.
Hope it works.

If you put it in custom mode - I believe it's called "CSM", the flash is off but you also have to manually set your shutter speed, f-stop, etc.
I can't find my camera right now but I'll keep looking and let you know if I figure it out.

I have the Nikon CoolPix but it is still in Police custody from our robbery 
I DO have the box and the manual I think that may be why the kid who took it returned it. We have the serial number.
Glad you figured it out. If you need anything from the manual, let me know.

I spoke to the detective handling the case and he said I can pick it up tomorrow. I think I may end up taking pics of everything to make up for lost time
