How long does it take to lose the weight??

I am really sad and frustrated....I gained 35 pounds and lost 20 within a week or 2 and for the past 4 months I have been holding onto 15pounds!!! I can't lose it at all....such bad timing for the summer.

Just curious-what is a realistic timeframe? even if i could get within 5......

I would say it depends on whether your nursing.

I wound up weighing less when I had Maddie than before I had Joseph. It was great - until I stopped breastfeeding. So to answer your question - it's been almost 5 years to lost the weight.

My DD is 3 1/2 months and I had gained 35 lbs. The 1st month I lost 15-20 lbs on my own. I'm now on WW and lost a lot more (10 lbs+) I'm 2 lbs away from prepreggo weight and 10lbs away from my goal (when I met DH) It definately takes time and dedication! They say 9 months on, 9 months off. I argree with my Dr. that it takes at least 3 periods to get your hormones back in order!

I had the opposite of Babara's story -I held on to some weight until I stopped nursing and got my period. Now I am back to my Pre preggo weight - but my body is still icky and different.

I do the points system. I don't go to meetings anymore but it's working well.

You just motivated me to start WW again - I will buy the emeals its easier that way

Im so happy to see this post. I was in tears tonight after trying on clothes and being so grossed out by my body and what size I am.

I lost 30 lbs within 2 wks of having the baby. But I havent been able to lose any more really because Im so sore from the c/s still (which is really making me mad).

ETA Ive never done WW before buy this may lead me to try.

I know how you feel...It took me 8-11 months to completely get back to normal. I had Jared in June and it was bad timing for that summer but this summer I'm ready.

each person is different. I was in non maternity clothes 3 days after I had DD, at my 6 week appt I was within 4 lbs and I just went for my annual and I gained 3 lbs...so now I'm within 7 lbs.

I'm hoping this new pill lets go of the weight.

I am now (my son is 6 mos old) 5 lbs from my pre pg weight. BUT my body is so different now and I hate it. I am going to the gym 3x a week and eating healthy so I'm hoping this is only temporary.
