Which doc when you're sick (not from the pregnancy) OB or regular?

I have my first appointment with the OB on Monday. And I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection (or at the very least, I need a good decongestant- I have pressure and pain next to my nose and behind my eye).

So my question is, will my OB give me something for that or will I need to go to a regular doc (I haven't even found one since we moved- the OB is also new to me!)

I would call the OB because they know more about what you can and cannot take during pregnancy. They will direct you to either come to their office, or call your regular dr.

I called my OB and he told me to go to the regular doc. They gave me amoxicilyn(sp?) and a nasal spray...that was all they could give me. I am feeling much better now.

I had a sinus infection before i went to my first OB appt (I was 5 or 6 weeks) and I went to my regular Dr. and he gave me amoxocyllin for 10 days... Hope you feel better!

I always called the OB when I was sick....
