Baby Shower - Did you know?
I am curious if anyone knew when their baby shower was going to be. My MIL is insisting that I should know to help them plan (guest lists, date, etc.) - but I REALLY don't want to know. I just feel like I want it to be as much of a surprise as possible even though I may find out tid-bits here and there. Help me keep her quiet!

I knew about it. I wasn't suppose to have one due to MIL drama and cultural beliefs, but my SIL threw one for me about 3-4 weeks before my due date. I knew the date, where it was going to be, who was invited, but I didn't know any other details.

I know about my NY one since it is this Saturday and I have to fly in for it.
My Saint Louis one I *think* is at the end of the month but that one is a surprise.

No, I was completely surprised. I didn't want it to be a surprise but no one listened to me. I wanted to know when it was so I could make sure I looked and felt comfortable. I hate the way I look in all the pictures from my shower.

You can always provide them with a guest list and help them with any other details. They can definitely keep the place, and time a surprise for you. And you can always tell them how you envision it as well.

Part of me wanted to know and another part wanted it to be a surprise.
BUT I know everything! I needed to help my mom find a place since I don't live in LI (and she does) and I wanted my best friend who lives in CA to be able to fly in, etc.
My best friend is actually doing the invites and she's going to send me one

I know about mine for the same reason. I'm also helping to plan it, which I like. I helped pick out the invites and favors. It was fun.

It was supposed to be a surprise but i figured it out....only dh knew i did though....i pretended to be all surprised....
lol... at the last minute my mom panicked and thought maybe she should tell me anyway since she didn't want me to go into labor!

I wanted to know about it. I was sooo surprised for my bridal shower, that was enough for me! I wanted to be prepared, it took me a while to calm down from being so surpised at the bridal shower! I think your MIL should go by what YOU want, since you want to be surprised, they should try to surprise you!

I know when mine is, not the date yet but I know where it is and I am helping planning it too. When we have to make up the ribbons for the favors I will know the date then, I know its in October but didnt want to know the date yet, want a lil suspense for now

I wanted to know. I'm a planner and need to know when the shower is going to be and where. In fact, I had to push my mom about the date b/c she wanted to do it way too late.
The rest I'm leaving up to my mom and sis.
I'm SO happy I know this time (as opposed to my bridal shower) I am really looking forward to it!
