Stony Brook Midwives
Just wondering if anyone used this practice. I really want natural childbirth and I got scared when I saw that the hospital my doctor delivers at has an 82% epidural rate. So, I'm thinking about looking in to a midwife and this group takes my insurance.

I used them for all 3 of my children. They are truly wonderful. Had I used an OB I would have definitely been induced because of a few different reasons but they let me wait and I had great deliveries.

My sister had her second baby with a midwife at Stony Brook. She switched midwives & hospitals because her midwife that delivered her first baby no longer accepted her insurance.
I'll try to find out the name & FM you.

I have been using them for about 1 year, just for regular visits. They've been very accomodating- squeezed me in when I was an hour late, also when I was sick. And super nice.
