Moms - how long did it take for your body to "bounce back" after baby?
The other day I saw a woman wearing a belly shirt, and her belly was all stretched out and saggy, and it freaked me out a little - I started thinking - is that what my belly will look like after the baby?
I work out, I eat right, but I DO have to work very hard on staying thin.... How long ater baby will I be back in pre-preggo shape if I work at it?

11 weeks PP and stomach is still saggy and stretched out. But I was out of shape to begin with. IMO that is gross that she was wearing a belly shirt

I agree - trust me - I wont be wearing one until I know that I can...
11 wks PP is NOT a lot of time at all - I'm not expecting to look tip top at 11 wks PP... but if you said 6 months PP, then I'd worry!!!

I gained about 45+ lbs, and the "sag" for me lasted about 6-8 weeks... I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight around 3 months post-partum... for me, it was all BFing... the weight just slipped right off... I had to be careful around 6 months though, when I weaned, and that's when I started to watch what I was eating again...

I hear that a lot about BFing, but I probably wont be able to do it because i had a breast reduction 10+ years ago... I'm going to have to find out about that, so I'm already factoring that out....

I am at 7 weeks pp and still have about 20 lbs to be at pre pregnancy weight. I am not expecting to be what I used to be though. I am also bf-ing so it helps. I gained 56lbs !!! My belly is the problem but I had a c section so I just got the ok to start exercising (not that I am big on that )

It's 5 years & I'm still waiting.
I have a gross belly too (I don't wear belly shirts) but it's completely my fault. I don't do a lick of exercise & eat poorly.
Immediately after you have the baby, you have a saggy belly. By 5 months, I was back in shape in terms of my belly. I don't think your whole body bounces back for a full year (this includes losing the pregnancy weight, hormones balancing out, hair loss growing back, etc.) Of course I got pregnant again at that year mark.
Your arms will definitely get muscular carrying around a baby in a car seat and later a tired toddler.

I gained about 50 lbs pg. Pre-pg I ate really well, exercised. While pg, I still ate well, but the weight piled on, i am sure 10 weeks of partial bed rest didn't help!
At 3.5 month PP i am about 10-12 lbs from my pre pg weight. My tummy isn't very saggy at all, I have a little pooch, but that's about it. My hips and thighs are a whole other story!

I don't know how appropriate belly shirts are while you're carrying your little one. I personally wouldn't wear one.
I gained 50 pounds and didn't breastfeed afterwards. I lost the first 25 pounds within 2 weeks. I lost the rest of it in the next 8 months. I worked out a LOT before I was pregnant and always had a fast metabolism. Now, I'm 15 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight.

I gained 35-40lbs. 5 mos PP I am 15 lbs away from prepreg weight. My stomach while bigger than it used to be is not bad(still have my belly ring in). I have yet to start working out though.....

I gained 50 lbs and now 12 weeks PP I am 12 pounds away from my pre pregnancy weight. I am working on losing that and more but the weight loss seems to have stalled and it is hard!
