Idiot neighbors w/ a mean dog!!!

So the house behind ours has two dogs (large breeds). One seems ok, but the other seems a little crazy & not very well trained.
The people have a lot of property & then there is a huge hill that goes up to our house (so were kind of above them).
Well lately, the dogs have been climbing up the big hill (I mean it's a STEEP hill!) & one of them is going crazy at Rudy (who is a little guy)!!! He barks so harshly, shows his teeth, & tries to bite through our wood fence!!!
Rudy barks back so they're literally face to face, only a little wood fence between them!
I'm afraid this dog is going to get out of control one of these days, I really hope this doesn't keep up.
I'm at the point where I don't want to let Rudy out unless I know those dogs are in. I'm like a prisoner in my own home.
What can I do- ask them to put up another fence on their property to keep their dogs away? Should it be my responsibility to do that? Any suggestions before I curse out the owners in a furious rage??? (JK).

Maybe go over and talk to them, they may not realize what is going on since your house is so far away. Let them know what the "bad" dog is doing and see what they do. If they do nothing, then I would say curse them out and put up another fence behind the wooden one.

WHose fence is it? You may have to put up another one yourself.
