It depends on what the person did- and there are names I will not choose based on people who have them (now I can't think of any). If I liked the name and it came from someone classy/smart/good-hearted, then yes.
I can think of book characters who were evil with nice names that I will never use.

Well...my parents named me after Lana Turner, the actress. But no, I can't think of one person I'd name my kids after.

Yes, I'd name my baby a name that a famous person has.
I used to always say I'd name my baby Olivia but I am not 100% sure of that anymore.
I of course like the name Charlize now too.
I think if you like someone it makes you like their name. I know that sounds weird, but I've always been like that./

My parents named me after a celeb (Cheryl Ladd) but I will not be naming my kids after anyone.
