Re: another shower Q...how much do you spend for...

i usually spend around $50 regardless- unles i'm really close with them- then it's more.

what about you and the other woman going in on something together, and getting something really nice for around $80? kind of a compromise Chat Icon

Would it be weird if just me and the other person chipped in while other people from our category went solo?

i dont think so. If you and the other woman were talking about it- i dont think it's necessary for you to have to get everyone else involved with it. If you wanted to ask them, that'd be fine, but i dont think you're obligated to do so- that ca make things so much more complicated

Does she have a registry? if so maybe you can get a few things from there. Its even better if its from Macys because then you can get 15% off with coupons. I would spend 50. I think thats reasonable for a shower. Though at my shower some people did give me 25 dollar gifts so I cant say for sure if I am high balling it with my 50 dollars.

I'm usually spending$50-100. More for very close friends.

Re: another shower Q...how much do you spend for...

i'm going to a shower in march, i'll probably spend $50. she is the daughter of fh's parents friends...she is in our bp but we or he is not in her's. plus we are traveling to pa so with that factored in, i'm spending less
