Dear God,
As I sit here thinking about the last five years, still trying to make sense of it all, I am saddened.
Sad when I think about all the innocent lives that were lost, and the families who will forever love and miss them.
Sad that there are human beings in this world that are capable of being consumed with so much hatred, that they would cause such immeasurable pain. This, I will never comprehend.
The events of 5 years ago changed many of us to a degree that we could have never imagined. I know I have changed.
And although I may never understand WHY this tragedy happened, I take comfort in knowing that some good things HAVE come from it. Lessons learned in the blink of an eye.
God, complete strangers came to each others aid. Men and women from all walks of life, gave their blood, sweat, and tears for each other. These are people that you created....the good ones. They truly are everywhere...Angels before us all.
For this, I am grateful.
