I know that mine doesn't (United healthcare) we have to pay out of pocket if we want one.

mine wasnt but i was able to use $$ from mny fkex spending account to pay for it so at least i saved on taxes. it was worth it to me to pay for it myself - rather than not have it done at all.

I have GHI (under DH's Insurance) but don't know if they cover it. I know my insurance doesn't, I have Oxford freedom. Well they said they would if it were a medical necessity.

mine does not cover a separate 3d sono.
but... during my regular 20 week sono the tech switched it over to 3d so we could get a picture! it was very early, but we could see the baby's face!

I have GHI and it was covered when it was done at my doctors office during a routine visit.
