I am crying.
As the doggy-mommy of several adult rescued dogs in my lifetime it truly is the best. They know they've been rescued and, I believe, appreciate things more. iIonly had one puppy and sometimes I would give her "the speech". Basically, the same speech my parents gave me about the "poor kids in Africa don't have..." but I'd say... "ummm, do you think the poor doggies in shelters have....?"
