Party people..... ?
So while talking to my best friend and her sister I mentioned how I would love to have a Halloween Party. And they both SCREAMED YES!  They said they were talking with their mom about it and their mom asked if I was going to have one.
I also said it cost a lot of money to have a party and after the block party im not sure if I can afford it. They said Do the BYOB like I did at the block party. Would it be bad to do that and also ask people to bring an appe?
Then I could just get like a hero and make ziti or something.

I don't think it's a bad idea at all to ask people to BYOB. Whenever my friends have parties, it's BYOB.

i think its a great idea. just b/c the party would be a your house that does not mean you should be responsibel for all the food, drink, etc.

no I think its a great idea to ask people to bring stuff, no one would mind. And if they do, then you don't want them there anyway.

My friend had a party where guys brought a drink(bottle, 12 pack, etc) and the girls brought an appetizer. It was great and there was tons of food

All the patys my friends and I have are BYOB and most people ask if they can bring anything besides that.

In my experience most people ask what they can bring anyway- so just tell them BYOB and an appetizer.
I think it's a great idea!

Unless its for a birthday we usually ask people to contribute food or drinks if we have a party/GTG. Send out an evite and ask people to list what they will bring. I am sure people will just be glad to have something to do.
