Re: Stretch Mark Cream...

I used the cocoa butter everyday. But stretch marks are really just hit or miss, depending on your body IMO.

Re: Stretch Mark Cream...

I used Palmers cocoa butter too my whole pregnancy right from the beginning. But I also used lotion every day before I was PG too. I dont have any marks yet (knock on wood). I also read that a lot of it has to do with genetics - and if your Mom had them, chances are you will too. If she didn't have them, you have a good chance of not having them either.

$108 seems like a lot of $$ to me! Chat Icon

Palmers is what I use as well (only $4.99) and my thoughts exactly. It is a genetic thing.

Re: Stretch Mark Cream...

i use the cocoa butter- not the lotion, but the thick kind in the tub- as soon as I get out of the shower to seal in moisture.
we'll see if it works- but I need to use it b/c i have REALLY dry skin.

The difference between this and Palmer's is that Palmer's helps prevent while Strivectin helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks that are already there. I've considered shelling out the $108, because everything else I've used on stretch marks hasn't made them disappear in the least bit.

Re: Stretch Mark Cream...

I thought it was genetics too until the person who told me about it is a twin and she has it so bad and didn't use cream while her twin used the cream and didn't have 1 stretch mark.

Re: Stretch Mark Cream...

i use palmers and i use cocoa cream from bath & body works. so far i have no stretch marks and i am 31 weeks. i heard it has a lot to do w/ genetics, too. i don't think i'd ever spend $108 for it!

Re: Stretch Mark Cream...

You can also use this for wrinkles so it is dual purpose!
