Re: blanket to sleep at night for 3 1/2 month old...

I try to put one on DS and he always kicks it off so I dont put one on him. My SIL use to put a onsie, a thin sleepy and then a fleece one over that.

Ava moves so much at night I could never give her a blanket. She's three months old and starts the night at one end of the crib and completely flips and turns all night.

6 mos and I wouldn't dare put a blanket in there, she is so active. Too paranoid about suffocation. Feetie pj's work great and aren't a hazard.

I always use a blanket with my son. He's 3 1/2 months too. I just put it on the lower half of his body and kind of tuck it under him a bit. he's starting to move around (does 180's in the crib) so I will probably switch to the blanket sleepers or sleepsack as it gets colder.

Re: blanket to sleep at night for 3 1/2 month old...

bella is going to be one next week and i still do not let her sleep with a blanket throughout the night. I let her fall asleep with it because she likes when i put it over her i think its more cozy for her but once shes asleep i take it out of the crib. There was one time my mother did not take it off her and in the middle of the night bella screamed like she was hurt when i walked in it was over her head and she couldnt get it off! My bella turned over early and once she did i stopped placing her with the blanket to sleep, she is all over the place when she sleeps! she will not use the sleep sacks so i just dress her for bed according to the weather.

Jacob is almost 9 months and i do use a blanket at night. He likes the feel of this one particular one that I have been using since birth. He sometimes puts the blanket over his head purposely, and I have to go in and take if off his face, but so far, no problems..

We have been using one since she moved into her crib at 6 months or so. She moves around a lot too and it usually ends up bunched up under her legs.

I use a light receiving blanket.

when it got cold, I would. But a crocheted blanket, so if he got caught up he could still breathe
