Anyone ever run the NYC marathon?

My 3rd child will be born in a few weeks and after I am cleared to exercise I'm starting to train for the NYC marathon with my Mom. Anyone do it? Is it in Novemeber, and how long did it take you to train?

i'm running it this year too with dh! we start our official build-up july 4 weekend. we're following one of the 18 week programs on the marathon website. i ran the marine corps marathon in dc 4 years ago and for that one i trained for six months, since it was my first marathon and i had never run before in my life (i did one of those charity training programs). you should have enough time if you start by the beginning of august. good luck!
