I apologize if this has been asked before..But What items are absolutely necessary to set up?
What kind of items did you set up immediately upon waiting baby's arrival?
Idon't want to wash everything, put everything together if I don't have too right away.
What did you guys do and have ready for baby arrival? (besides carseat of course )

Bouncy seat, definitely. We set up the swing and the pack n play as well, although I don't know if they're totally necessary. I used (and still do) the pack n play changing table instead of the one in her room.

Well I haven't set up everything yet cuz I haven't had my shower. But I can tell you what my brother had set up. The stroller and carseat of course...

What is 100% necessary is that your car seat is installed proper in your car. I would do this 4-6 weeks prior to your due date.
Your baby needs a safe place to sleep, diapers, some clothing, food, love and attention. Everything else is what we need
Swing, pack & play, bouncy seat, a baby bath tub are all musts IMO..but again, Laura Ingalls didn't have that stuff and somehow the took care of their babies.

I installed the car seat and DH put together the stroller, the pack n play, and the bassinett were all done before her birth.
Shortly thereafter the bouncy seat and my dad did the swing since they bought it while they were here.
