BRU is on my sh*t list!!
Ok, I go to add a couple of things to my registry last night as I am suffering from insomnia and I noticed that my carseat that I registered for is not on my list. I registered for this in the store from day one. It is not listed on my things already purchased.
The only thing that I can think of is that it was discontinued--but does that mean that BRU deletes it automatically from everyone's registry?????

Was it on your list at the start? The same thing happened to me my car seat travel system that we put on the registry didn't show up, so I put it on through the computer turns out that the item has been on backorder for quite a while and it didn't register onto the registry when we were there... So annoying!!!!

Yup, it was on my list when we originally registered. I guess we have to keep checking our registry to make sure our items stay on there. Like we need this while we are pregnant!!!

same thing happened to me with my pack and play..... just one day... POOF! gone off my registry and no one purchaced it  I think it was discontinued and so I registered for another.  I now keep daily track of my registry. Oh- and today I noticed that I will be receiving 2 high chairs instead of the one I put on my registry. What are the chances that at the exact same moment, two different people at 2 different BRS's decided to purchace it for me??????? With technology today things like this shouldn't be happening!

Well... if someone purchases it online it takes a few days to come off your registry...where as if they purchase it in the store it comes off right away...
I was p!ssed when I caught on to this... I called the store...and they confirmed...theres nothing they can do since the website is ran by amazon...

I've been there. If someone purchases on line vs. in the store, it definitely screws it up. Silly, I know. As far as the carseat coming off completely, without an explanation from them, I'd guess you are probably right. I always say its not "peeking" to check your registry, esp with baby stuff. Its important b/c the manufacturers seem to put out new models or patterns all the time hence the discontinuation. And they all seem to do it at different times. Sometimes it shows up with an asterisk and a note that says "limited quantities" until their supply is depleted I guess. That why sometimes going too early to register ends up being so much more work, KWIM?

I've learned that the instore printout is alot different then the online one. I would go directly to the store to see if its still on in the store. BTW I already know I got 2 swings, 2 packnplays and 2 highchairs.........Oh well it's a big credit to buy the little things that are left on the registry...

I think there are times when something is purchased in the store and it doesn't come off the registry. I know I went in last week to add some stuff to my registry. After I was finished, I decided to purchase one of the things I registered for (it was a frame, and I was afraid it would be gone by the time of my shower). When I got to the register, I gave them a copy of my registry and told them that it was from the registry. They scanned the registry and then rang up the frame. When I got home, I was looking over the registry online, and the frame was still there. So, I just deleted it myself. Unfortunately, I think this happens will all registries everywhere -- bridal or baby.
