Xpost: I'm preggo & have an ear infection. Do I call OB or Primary care dr for Rx?
I want to be able to call first thing when they open, my head is killing me.

I always went to my primary doc when I was sick during the pregnancy and sometimes just called the OB to double check that the meds were okay.

Primary. My ob/gyn asked me to go to my primary during a routine exam where I had a sinus infection. He said he could prescribe antibiotics but that he wanted to make sure it wasn't something else.

Primary. Then have your primary or you call ob gyn to approve/double check meds you may have to take. I was sick a few times in my pregnancy and that's the way we always worked it.

I had one while I was PG and went to my primary who actually sent me to the ENT. I couldn't take oral meds for it so the had to stick a medicated wick in my ear. It was no fun.

Thanks! I called my OB and they said to see the PCP and call back with the prescription to make sure my OB thinks it's safe.
