uh oh...we are supposed to close wednesday..i hope we get the closing cost figures
by the end of the day tomorrow...I dont know if we're going to have enough money!! We might need to borrow some from my parents!
are there any unexpected fees anyone has had to pay?
About how many checks do you have to write out? We are having a first and second mortgage.

We didn't get our closing costs til the morning of closing. They were less than our lawyer estimated though.

so if its the same morning you get the final figures, you have to rush to the bank to get a money order for the sellers?

I insisted on knowing before that day - I was a big PIA, but sometimes you need to be. There's no harm in at least asking what the approximate final amount will be, just so you can get an idea of how much.
