my pregnant sister tried to wear her wedding rings and (help)UPDATE!!!!
but realized they were too tight for her and tried to take them off. It was so hard for her to take it off she really made her knuckle swollen.. She managed to get off her engagement ring but unfortuntaely her wedding ring is still on with- as of now she cant get it off.
besides butter, cream and water, what else can she do to try and get it off. If the swelling doesnt go down and it gets worse she might have to get the ring cut off!

Have her put ice on her finger for 5 minutes or so. That should help the swelling go down a bit and hopefully she'll be able to slip it off!

she did that but unfortunately she really messed up her knuckle from trying to squeeze the other ring off . i think she panicked b/c she doesnt like anything tight on her fingers (who does)

tell her to run her hand under cold water, then put dish washing liquid on her finger and try to twist it off... hope it works!

thanks everyone! i just saw her- we went out to dinner and I couldnt believe her finger!! she really messed it up!

The same thing happened to me on Sunday. I put my ring on after a shower & I couldn't get it off. I was able to get it off whne I was driving around in my car w/ the A/C on full blast.
I refuse to even try to wear my rings until after the babies are born.

That just reminded me of My Big Fat Greek Wedding - windex cures all! 
I agree with the ice and the cold water and soap.
She should probably leave her finger alone for a few hours to let it go down itself a little. At this point, the more she tries to push it, the more swollen I think it will get.

OMG...has she gotten the ring off yet?
Like IrishTracy said, I'm not even attempting to put my rings on until after my baby is born...my hands have been soooo swollen!!!

I dont know WHY she even thought of trying to put her rings on. I didnt dare say that though...
Shes due in three weeks and she has been swelling on and off. Well anyway, she bruised her knuckle from trying to get the engagement ring off and that might take a couple of days to heal. She did manage to get that one off. Her wedding band is still on..
She might have to go get it cut off her finger. which she is upset about but she can take it to our jeweler in the city and he will fuse it back together.

that happened to my sister...they had to cut it off! but it's better that they cut it off, rather then her finger lose circulation eventually! tell her to get it cut off soon!!

This is probably pointless now, since her knuckle is bruised but, my jeweler taught me to bend my finger slightly when taking my rings off instead of keeping it straight and tight.
My sister swears by the Windex thing too

Tell her not to worry. I have my mom's wedding band. It was also cut off, before she had surgery. She never took it off and over the years, she gained weight and then couldn't get it off. They cut her E-ring and band. When I wanted to wear her band, we took it to the jeweler who sold DH my e-ring and they repaired it. You would never be able to tell it was ever cut! They did a great job.

This got me thinking of the rings I never take off. Well I can't get them off. I really don't want them to be cut so I am going to try my damndest to remove them.

She didnt want it cut either but she had to. she did manage to get off the engagement ring but she bruised the knuckle so bad it was impossible to get off the other one. it was really starting to get tight and we all know how that is uncomfortable!
I had my ring cut when I first got engaged because it was way to big. they cut and fuse it back together. i wasnt happy they had to cut it but you cant even tell.
