8 - 10 month old moms - Nap question

How many hours between naps?

We were going by the 2 hour rule but I think he may be starting to out grow that.

How many naps per day?

Kevin takes two sometimes three.

Latest you will put the baby down for a nap?

Kevin sometimes starts getting cranky around 5 PM and he'll take a quick one around then. Is that ok?

Certainly don't go by us. Christopher is the champion of avoiding sleep. We're lucky if he gets one nap during the day.

Bryan usually takes two he wakes up from the night at 8-830 am and then he takes a nap around 11-30am and around 3-30 -4pm depends on how the day goes though and what we are doing. Sometimes he only takes one nap though its kinda fustrating when that happens but usually he goes to bed a little earlier on those days. His bedtime is around 8- 830pm sometimes later.

8:45-9am thu 11:30ish (Naptime)

Maybe if I'm lucky a nap from 4pm-5pm

7pm Bedtime

Alex will be 1 year next week. He is still on two naps. Usually, the morning nap is after 2 - 2.5 hours of awake time and then the afternoon nap is after 3 -4 hours of awake time. His schedule goest something like this

6:30 - 7 awake
8:30 -9:00 nap to about 10-10:30
1:30 - 2 - nap to about 3 - 3:30
7pm - Bed

Julia wakes up at like 8am

Takes a nap at like 11am

Then takes another nap at like 2

Sometimes she will nap again at like 5

Shes only sleeps for like a 1/2 hr when she naps.

I'm in the same situation you are in. Jake seems to be somewhere in between growing out of that third nap and going longer between naps. I don't put him down anymore for the 3rd nap if it's well past 4:30 because he'll easily sleep over an hour and he goes to bed at 7pm so it would mess up his bedtime. He would still get up at his regular wake up time so I'd just be depriving him of nighttime sleep if I did that. His schedule goes like this:

6:00am - wakeup

8/8:30am to 10/10:30am - nap

12/12:30pm to 2/2:30pm - nap

4/4:30pm - 5 - this nap is usually much shorter - about 45mins on the average; right now he's only taking it every other day or so

7pm - bedtime

Jared will wake up at 9:30-10:00am, take a nap 3 hours later at 1:00 and sometimes take a nap at 4 or 5. I've been skipping the second nap and putting him to bed earlier at 8.

By 8-10 months the schedule was two - 2 hour naps. One am, one pm. I think 10am & 12:30PM.

Nate used to wake up a 7am, but lately he's up at 6am

8:30am - 45 min
11am - 1 hour
3pm - 1 hour
