Tell me about Ronkonkoma

How is it? Would you want to live there?

And Sachem SD?

We looked for a house in Ronkonkoma(connetquot schools) for over a year. There were a few neighborhoods I liked more than others. I didn't want to be too close to the train station. It is a middle class town with a lot of young families. Ultimatley we decided to move further out east but in 2003-2004 I probably looked at 50 houses in that area.

I live in a condo in Ronkonkoma, and personally this is about the only part of town that I do like. However, the SD's in Ronkonkoma are not bad.

I live in Farmingville, but right on the border of Ronkonkoma and my neighborhood is awesome. My one son attends Sachem Schools and the district is phenomenal. As far as the whole community it is mostly middle class, some upper and I find the whole community to be great! There will always be some "bad " parts of every community. You can't really go anywhere where there isn't. I'm originally from POrt Jefferson, a very upper class town, but there are bad parts of that aas well once you're in a certain neighborhood. I highly reccommend the area and the schools. I am very picky about where I live and I really can't say anything bad about it. If you have any questions please FM me for details.

i LOVE ronkonkoma..

it does have both Sachem and Connetquot SD's

There are def BEAUTIFUL areas that i just love..

If you go down Ocean Ave and make a right...the neighborhood is BEAUTIFUL

The Hills...is just that VERY HILLY..you can find a wonderful home but it is hard because the majority is VERY VERY HILLY (this area is exit 58 N)..

There are some not so nice areas around the train sta...but it is growing and getting better everyday..

I say it is a GREAT lasts affordable area in Western Suffolk

I grew up in Ronkonkoma ... the Connetquot SD --- our Rivals were Sachem so I say they suck but that's just because they were our rivals. I think it is a pretty good school district.

I lived off of ocean avenue between the expressway and motor parkway. If you have any questions about that area let me know. My parents still live there!
