help with a 1st bday gift for our nephew

hi girls. i know i am not a mom, and thats why i need help so TIA.

Any suggestions for a good 1st bday gift for our nephew?
They live far from us, so we dont see him often (his bday is end of may and we have seen him twice so far, once in july and once in march) so we want to at least be the aunt and uncle who send good gifts!

For Christmas we got him the Motzart Cube from the discovery channel store and when we were up there in March we bought him h is first weebels just because.

Any and all suggestions please! (what are you kids' favorite toys or your fave thing to get for their 1st bday)
