Daycare prices - in-home daycare
how much do you pay for in-home daycare per week - trying to get an average price - thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to use a neighbor and she was going to charge us $250/wk for 5 days a week, 9 hrs/day.

I was paying 70 a week but that was tuesday through friday from 11 to 3.

I pay $6.25/hr for M-F about 8.5 hrs/day.

I PAY MY FRIEND $250 A WEEK FROM 9-5 FIVE DAYS A WEEK. LUCKILY I WORK 3 MINUTES AWAY.

It is by far the most expensive part about having a baby. We are strapped for cash most of the time but probably would have a lot more money for things if we didn't have to pay for childcare -- or at least not so much. It's hard shelling out about $600+ every 2 weeks for childcare...but such a necessity.

i take care of children in my home 3 days per week and I charge $10 per hour. This seems to be fair for the parents and it is working out well. This seems to be average for everyone.

From monday to friday 7:30am to 6pm I pay $145 to a family friend who runs a daycare in her home. She usually charges $175

Wow! That's an incredible price!! Even at $175!!
I know I jumped on it when she told me the price and she provides everything as well all you have to provide is diapers wipes and a blanket. I looked around and the prices were very very scarey.
She is great and she is licensed and registered with the state. She is great with the kids as well.

I think less than $200 is an amazing deal for full time 5 days. The centers we're looking at are about $300 per week.
