I am looking for a shih-tzu
I don't know where to get one? I have look online at the shelters, but am looking for a specific sex/color/age and I am not finding it!
Does anyone know of a rescue group?
Or a breeder?

Aww Toby is very cute but I need a Female. I am looking for a White, Female, Young or Baby.
Also how does it work if you find one out of state?

I think for a rescue that you can go pick up the dog up or have the dog go on a "puppy bus".
Please don't purchase from a back yard breeder or pet store. Stick with a rescue, shelter or a reputable breeder.

You can even post this on petfinders.com
You will be surprised how many response you will get from rescues or people fostering shih-tzus.
Try this rescue. YOu could call them and ask if they ever get any young female shih tzus in to contact you.

two of my dogs came from other states. they fly them. you pick them up fomr the airport.

I'm not sure if they have any right now but
HUA.ORG
rescues all sorts of dogs and will fly them anywhere.

I have a shih tzu that I got from a breeder out in suffolk, I will see if I can get the info from my mom. Several members of my family all got dogs from her, (3 from the same litter and 1 from a different litter) and they are all the sweetest dogs!
