Moms with Reflux Babies...

Has your baby ever had an episode where they threw up clear fluid / stomach acid multiple times?

Yesterday we gave Kevin pear juice to help with consitpation. This morning he woke up gagging and threw up 5 times. It was clear/yellowish fluid that I can only imagine that it was the pear juice or stomach acid from being irritated from the juice. This happens once before when we tried kevin on nutramigen and he spit up clear fluid twice but this time it was MAJOR. you could hear his stomach gurgling and he made this heaving noise and then brought up all this fluid.

The doctor's office just sid to keep an eye on him and he's been fine otherwise.

Anyone else have this experience?

no, but Joseph doesn't have it to the point where he vomits. Could it be that he was allergic to the pear juice and not related to the reflux?

The little boy I use to nanny for had reflux soooooo bad...up until he was almost 2....

He use to spit up clear fluid all the time.... He ended up doing some damage to his esphogus (?) and was put on special formula, and always had to have cereal in his bottle, and sleep in his carrier or swing...

I hope your little boy is ok and it was just the pear juice!

Miranda spits up clear stuff quite a bit. It will usually have chunks of partially digested breast milk in it.
When we were trialing Neocate that would come back up clear kind of of like your pear juice did. I wouldn't worry too much if it seems to have been a one time thing.
