Washed something that was DRY CLEAN ONLY
Its a silk J. Crew dress. My DH just threw it into the washing machine. Is it ok? What do I do? I didnt dry it.

from my experience silk doesn't dry shiny when it isn't dry cleaned. good luck!

Maybe just take it to the dry cleaners and they can bring it back to life. I've washed a lot of dry clean only stuff but nothing silk so I can't be much help with that.

I have washed a silk Ann Taylor sweater that was dry clean only...
honestly, the first few washes were FINE but after that it became a little dull... I would see how it looks and perhaps take it to the cleaners next time?

I am not sure about this but i think once you wash something thats dry clean only you can't have it dry cleaned anymore. At least thats what my mom told me, i have done it by accident before.
