answer me this question tell me if i am wrong or not
Every year we go to christmas eve at his brother;s house which i dont mind doing but this year we are all doing a family trip to florida with his family together so i told dh that i wanted to go to my aunts house for christmas eve do you think i am wrong?so this year i want to spend christmas eve and christmas day with mine. again am i wrong for wanting to do this? he is like i dont want to break tradition! one year with my family wont hurt!

If you weren't going to be going anywhere anyway that day, I don't see any harm in going to your side of the family. But if there were other plans to go to another one of his family member's houses, maybe I can understand where he'd be upset not seeing his family on the holiday.

we are seeing his family fromn the 27th till january 2nd when we come back from florida i wont be seeing my family one year wont hurt if we break tradition!

If you are going to see your family Christmas day anyway, even with the trip with his family I think I would still stick with tradtion and see his. Or cut it short and try to get some extra time in with your family after his on X-mas eve .

I'm going to say that you're right on this one.
Just because you do something every year doesn't mean it's a "Christmas tradition" - especially if that tradition is to exclude your family every year. Balancing family obligations are hard. His wanting to spend the holidays with his family probably has more to do with it is where he is most comfortable.
I wouldn't agree to do it just one year - you need to compromise - your family deserves to see you too.
