Buying land????
Has anyone looked into buying a piece of land on LI and building a new house on it? Any good websites for this??? TIA!

Is there even any land left to buy?... You should contact your local realtors. Most times people will buy a dump of a house in LI for the land knock it down and build again.
Tehre are 2 houses like that for sale in seaford

www.mlsli.com has land listing...not much left. its common to buy a house just for the land and rebuild...

That is what we are working on. Just trying to decide between North or South Carolina.
Maybe we will build on it for us, maybe we will hold it for investment purposes. Who knows, but right now there is plenty to go around!

there is a builder in suffolk but he is only building in suffolk. FM me if you want more info.

We started to look, and then found out you can't get a mortgage for just land, or maybe you can but you need to have a huge DP and the rates are more like a regular loan (higher than mortgage rates), so that was out for us.
