Foods baby doesn't like

When your baby doesn't like a food, what do you do? Do you just not feed it to them? Do you try to coax them into eating it? Do you try and then if they won't eat it, give them something they do like? Or is your approach more "if you don't eat this then you don't eat"?

Jake is developing preferences and there are somethings he just doesn't want to eat... mostly the green stuff - peas, green beans, etc. But they're good for him so I'm wondering how hard should I try to make him eat them.

Any tips or suggestions?

Julia doesnt have a problem with eating any of the veggis or fruits I give her but she doesnt like meats, but LOVES banana's so I usually just mix a 1/2 a jar of meat with a whole jar of banana's and she eats it. Maybe try mixing a Fruit that he loves with something he doesn't, (Pea's) but give him more of the fruit.

I would mix a little fruit in, then a spoonful of peas, then fruit, then a mix, then 2 peas... I'm sure it confused the heck out of him when he was a baby but at least he was well nourished.

Nate used to eat the chicken, but now refuses to eat it. So I just don't give it to him anymore.

I like the idea of mixing the veggies with a little fruit. Nate didn't care for green beans or peas, either. Now he's on stage 2 foods and he'll eat the mixed veggie one that has green beans, peas and carrots. I'll just give him that instead of the individual green beans and peas.

I guess I have a strange baby...there hasn't been a single food that he's rejected and we've been through all of the stage 1 and most of the stage 2 foods. I agree about mixing the fruits and veggies though. I think that's what I'd try if I did have an issue.
