Cold bottles?

I know this has been posted, but does anyone give baby bottles right out of the fridge?

Re: Cold bottles?

I did!! At about 6 weeks I stopped warming the bottles...but it was because I didn't want to waste any BM. If it wasn't warmed I could use it again.
Molly never cared one bit but my MIL used to getChat Icon everytime...of course I explained this to her but she thought her belly would get upset. It never did though.

Re: Cold bottles?

yes, I have been doing it from the beginning and I am glad that I did. My friend had suggested doing this . Jacob can have his bottle any way so when I am out I never have to worry that he won't take the bottle because it wasn't warmed.

This was one of the good pieces of advice I was offered.

Re: Cold bottles?

the nurses in the hospital told me that it is not neccesarry to warm the bottles and that doing so actually makes it harder on us, because if you r out or something and r unable to warm the bottle the baby might not take it ......but i always did warm it a bit

We have from day 1. No problems at all. I checked with her ped. after some of our older relatives told us it wasn't healthy for her and the dr laughed and said that if we didn't have to waste time warming it up while she was yelling for a bottle, so much the better for us!

I do if I am out and I have had the BM or formula next to an ice pack but otherwise I warm it to room temp as best I can but not because I think cold will do her any harm but she just seems to prefer it that way but she will take it cold.
