honestly no, i don't shop in those stores for holidays. i understand why someone would, but i only buy for 1 co-worker, my immediate boss and her boss, and i spend like $25 each.

I LOOOOVE Jack's world! When I commuted to the city for school, I stopped regularly on my way to Penn station! Some of the stuff they have there is really good and no one would know it came from there!

In an immediate department of over 25, I'll admit I do for my co-workers. A little candle set or something...just something to think of them. I can hardly afford gifts for my evergrowing-oversized family and immediate friends.

Honestly, No. the only thing I have purchased for gifts at a discount store was the gift bag, wrapping paper and card. No gifts though.

One of my coworkers just introduced me to "jack's world" in NYC and I am FLOORED by the stuff they have and that the items are between $1 and $10.
I REALLY think I am going to do MOST of my holiday shopping there. 
Um.....JACKS WORLD RULESSSSSSS
I had one near me too and I used to go it alll the time..but now that I changed jobs...NO JACKS

I did my mothers' b-day gift at a dollar store (not cuz of how I feel about her)...but I got her a cute set of stationery cuz she loves to write, a pretty notepad, and a pen and packaged it nicely together. She loved it.
sometimes they have stuff I can use with my crafting....and the kids stuff is great. Plus Dollar Tree has scrapbooking stuff

I don't because I don't have the patience to fight my way through Jack's but I really don't think anything is wrong with it. I really believe it's the thought that counts, not the amount you spend. So if you get a beautiful say photo album for $5 in Jack's instead of spending $20 in another store...I think it's fantastic!

I love Jack's World. They have alot of brand items for cheaper prices. I go to the one on 44th street between 5th & 6th Avenue. They have the Wilton designer baking pans for about $20 cheaper than Macy's and Fortunoffs. They have some great stuff.

I got the Wilton stacking cooling racks for cookies there really cheap! I love looking at all the kitchen stuff there.

Like Christine said I dont have the patience to shop in Jacks very often. However I do get wrapping paper and stuff like that there. If I see something I like for someone I will get it there or another discount store. Usually its just something like a stocking stuffer or something small to tape on top of my little brothers actual big gift.

I like the Dollar Tree. I have found Marvel and Strawberry Shortcake Puzzles there. How many JAcks are there and where are they? Are they near Conways by Macys?
