Moving a gas meter?
Has anyone had to have their gas meter moved? Was it $$? Who did it? I called Keyspan and they gave me the # for some company but they have not gotten back to me yet so I figured I would check here.

I wanted them to put in a new one because the one I had was too large and went into my walkway they said about $400.

Re: Moving a gas meter?
We thought about it with our kitchen remodel but were under the impression it'd be very expensive - at least several hundred dollars, if not more.
The circuit breaker and meter need to be moved together, and then the outside siding has to be replaced, etc.
It turned out to be a bigger project so we kept it where it is.

Thanks for the responses. We have to move ours because it is right where the front door is going to go. I still have not heard back from the people keyspan told me to call.
