Sharp pain - not sure what to think possible TMI

Hi Everyone,

I am 8 weeks 4 days pg today and I am getting some sharp stabbing pains in my abdomen. I have been struggling with constipation since last Wednesday and I started drinking prune juice and taking colace. It's helped a little but I am dealing with what seem to be more severe type cramps that come and go and feels like a strong pain that is enough to make me say "owww" and raise me out of my seat. I'm pretty sure it's gas and that I'm just having a hard time with the whole digestive thing. I know progesterone can have an impact and mine is through the roof at 199 last measurement.

Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried. I am definitely calling the doctor tomorrow but right now I am away on a busisness trip and just want to be home!

I had some pains, but it was because of my pelvic bones.. I am not sure if that may be a possibility for you..

Thanks L for responding.

I went to see the dr. today because the cramps were so intense last night that I could not sleep. She said the baby looks fine and the h/b is strong but I'm a little concerned because she is measuring me 1 week behind what the RE had me at.

She also said that I have several cysts on my ovaries which she said are due to the stimulation from the IVF and that is adding to my discomfort.

I had a similar problem and after all the tests they ran on me they decided it was just my body reacting to being PG and the changes it goes through. After a couple of wks it went away. It was really painful, like someone stabbing me with a fork or something - it even hurt so bad that when I peed I had to stop a few times bc the pain was too much.

Knock on wood, it stopped and hasnt really returned.

I had the same thing. It was combination of gas and I have cysts as well.

Hang in there, it went away.
