I need a new GYN...pref someone affiliated with North Shore or Winthrop
Not TTC yet....but I need a new doctor before I do...Any recommedations ladies..TIA

Where are you or where do you want the doc to be?? Dr. Nadel in Mineola 516-741-1155. (it's a man.. not sure if that matters) LOVE him though.. he's great!

I see Dr.John Gomes...1000 Franklin Avenue Garden City. He is AMAZING!!! I absolutely love him and even better, his sonogram technician, Jackie, is the BEST in the biz. They take a sonogram at almost EVERY visit, which I love...no guess work! They do all testing in the office. The wait is pretty long but so worth it. He delivered my 2 beautiful boys and is such an amazing man. I've recommended him to everyone and they all love him. Good luck!!
PS- With my second, (now 1 year old), I was in the hospital for a week in premature labor. Dr.Gomes visited me EVERY day, sat and talked to me (for almost an hour each time) and really set me at ease. He makes you feel like you are his only patient!
He is affiliated with Winthrop.

Her bedside manner rocks! I remember at my first appointment she walked into the consultation room & introduced herself as" hi I am Jennifer and I will be your Doctor" I thought that was so great and sucha warm greeting. Really broke the ice

I'd vote for Dr. Hanauer. She is wonderful. She never rushes you and answers any question that you have. She is affiliated with Winthrop. I love her.

I work for the doctors office she used to be affiliated with and have heard nothing but wonderful things about her.
I used Dr. Levine from the LI womens Group in Mineola(Winthrop)He's wonderful. I also used Dr. Moon who is across the street and he too was terrific. Im having a hard time deceiding if I do have another who I would go back to because I loved them both.

I saw Dr. Hanauer last night and told her she is going to be even more busy than she is now with all the great referrals she's getting on here and that she better be available for my delivery! She's a sweetheart!

Hi - I just saw your post. Dr. Gomes delivered my daughter in July. I had been totally against having a male ob/gyn, but my doctor told me how great he was.
I couldn't have been in better hands, and neither could my daughter. I had the same ob/gyn for 20 years and she decided to stop delivering right after I got pregnant. It was shattering for me. When the doctor she referred me to started talking about inducing for convenience, I left and found Dr. Gomes while I was 6 months pregnant. He was absolutely wonderful and discovered I had gestation diabetes weeks before I would have been tested for it. You mentioned Jackie. The day I went into the hospital, she did the sono. Said my baby was 8 pounds, 10 oz. Sure enough, she was on the nose!!
I love Dr. Gomes and highly recommend him. Happy to see other women who've had good experiences with him!

i go to Dr. Moon. I didn"t want to go to a male doc but that was soonest available doctor. so far he has been the best gyn i have had so far. i have had a male, female and now dr. moon. other doctors in his group are good too. my sister n law recommended them to me.
