Pediatrician recommendations?
Can anyone recommend a pediatrician in the Western Suffolk area? I'm in the melville/huntington area and I'm about to start looking.

I use North Shore Medical Group - Mount Sinai Group. They are on 25 A in Huntington. My pediatrician is Dr. Prushik. We're very happy with the whole practice.

Make that another vote for Huntington Medical Group - and especially for Dr. Cavanaugh.
They have walk in hours in the am, multiple doctors on call, are open 365 days a year.
I met Dr. Cavanaugh when he was on call on 4th of July & Maddie had to be admitted to the ER for a fever & spinal tap. After she was discharged, he called me every day for a week - sometimes a few times a day to check up on her on his days off. I love the way he talks to my kids & explains to them what he's doing. I can't say enough good things about him. Just meet him - you'll never switch.
I used to go to Cohen, Caravella & Meltzer but had many billing problems. Also Dr. Cavavella was very condenscending when I asked about vaccinations and the possible side effects. No one wants their kid to be the 1 in 500. He gave me a real attitude when I asked.

I go to Dr Hitner in North Babylon, he is definitly worth the trip there. I am in Bohemia, and we travel to him. He is right off Sunrise and Southern State.
