I'm home from my cruise and today is my Birthday!!UPDATE-Cruise Review and more PICS!!
Our cruise was awesome. I loved our ship. There was sooo much to do, it was great. The rooms were nice too. I have never had such a great shower on vacation..the water pressure was awesome!! The food was AMAZING!! Man did I eat..I compared it to that movie Defending Your Life, where the guy dies and goes to a place where he can eat whatever he wants and its good, well everything on this ship was delicious and there was soooo much. We were on the Carnival Fascination Ship, the fun ship!!! My best friend on the ship was the Wheel of Fortune Slots in the casino...It was very nice to me! I loved the Duty Free shops on board and bought a ton of stuff and took a chance, but luckily, customs didn't even look at my bags, they asked me if I was a citizen and I was on my way. We went to Key West and Cozymel. When we got to Key West it was sunny, but as soon as we got off the boat it became overcast and drizzled most of the time, but it was ok, we were still able to walk around and with the humidity it felt good. We were only there for a few hours and back to the ship and off to cozymel. We get to cozymel, we had to anchor out at sea and be transported over on boats because their dock was destroyed by the hurricanes (the devestation from the hurricanes was so sad). So finally after and hour we get over. It was awesome. We ate at Pancho's Backyard. I loved the food, mom didn't, she doesn't like mexican, but she was a trooper and tried some stuff. We took the shopping excursion in Mexico, which kinda stunk because after they showed us sites, we really only had and hour or so to actually shop. Next time we'll go out on our own. Oh and it was cloudy and overcast in cozymel too, the sun didn't like us, but again it wasn't too bad, because of the humidity, the clouds were sorta fine by us. The water was sooo beautiful,crystal clear, that was my favorite thing. So back to the ship and we head out to sea, have a fun day at sea and came back yesterday. Everything was great. Only negatives were we wish we had more time in the ports. When I booked this trip the itinerarys were different, we were supposed to be in Mexico much longer. But other wise everything was great and I totally recommend this ship.
Now to the down side of the trip...I will never ever in my life fly American Airlines again!! I have never seen such a disorganized airline like this in my life. Leaving NY on Monday, we are aboard, ready to go and a lightbulb went out in the cockpit. They tell us a matter of ten minutes we'll be out of there. Well, ten minutes turned into an hour. They decided since we hadn't left and there were stills eats they would allow some stand by people on while we wited, well they start sending people on, without checking if there were seats and for an hour people kept getting on, being told to get off, get on, get off..they were morons.
Then coming home, we get to Miami airport, which was an absolute and crazy zoo. They could not handle the luggage in the American Airlines terminal and starting loading it on carts to take it down to another area. So mine goes on one and my moms on another. We ask the guy to switch it to keep it together and he says in a nasty tone No. I said right there they are going to lose my luggage. So we finally get on the plane, ready to go, and the captain comes on and says we'll be delayed AGAIN..because they were loading cargo below and realized now it would not fit and needed to reconfigure all the luggage below to even out the plane. So an hour plus later we leave, get to NY, we were not allowed to get off the plane for almost 45 minutes because the morons could not line up the gate to the plane and they had to tug the plane. OK so finally we get off go to get luggage. Here comes all moms luggage and guess what?? Mines not there. I go and ask if there is anymore and they tell em no, they already started loading for the next flight. At this point I am incredibly exhausted, rocking from the boat still and just ****** and I started crying. After 20 minutes of trying to find someone to tell us where to go we get there and they send me in a room to look for my luggage. Luckily it was there..It was sent to NY on the wrong flight..my luggage got home before me, lucky luggage.
So all in all it was a great trip, minus the airline, which we will be writing a long letter to. I'll get a bunch of pics up shortyly!!!
