BigB - I totally agree. I was horrified watching the commercial! It seems like "sacreligious" to me (is that the right word)? Larry King had this as the discussion the other night with priests on the show.
I think it is APPALLING - I'm done watching A&E.

And is it me or do all of the three guys shown in the preview seem gay?

OMG- i thought the same exact thing!!
Something a little sick with the one guy who's priest mentor is WAY TOO "attached" and protective of him.

I just watched a few episodes of this. Actually only 1 of the guys has a girlfriend. One tried to reconnect with an Ex, but she didn't return his call.
I feel kind of sorry for 2 of them. One is really torn between a great teaching job and being with his girl and the seminary. He went on retreat and got very emotional about missing her. The other guy is getting lots of pressure from his mother to go into the seminary. Apparently, she did this to her older sons as well, until they got married.
What I thought was extreme was a third guy carrying an 80lb cross for 20 miles. This was suggested by his mentor priest. I think this is really extreme, but he's doing his best.
The 4th guy left a high paying exec job. He said the money and big house were great, but he felt empty inside. To me, he seems the most genuine.
I think I'll continue to watch...

Wait- I dont understand why its so bad. I saw half the commercial so I dont know enough to comment. Its a reality show about what? People deciding to go into the seminary or not? Why is that bad tv?
