It isnt 100% yours until you close on it... anything can happen until then, even after you go to contract...

I agree. That is also what my lawyer told us.
Yep. It's not yours until your close and they keys are in your hand.

It's not yours until you close and you have the deed (and keys). But, I would tell people now. Although we didn't announce it everytime we made an offer or even had one accepted, we definitely spread the word once in contract!

Congrats Marisa!!! The house is yours right after you leave that closing table. There are lots of things that can go wrong but if you have open communication with your realtor and your attorney all should go smoothly!!!!

I think it's OK to tell people now. Contracts can still fall apart, but it is not usual. But the house won't be yours until you get the keys - and you'll need to tell people before that to help you move ;)
